PLAYFUL RESISTANCE RESEARCHER

PhD Student at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University

I research how digital games can be designed to empower marginalized individuals, investigating computer-mediated play as a potential tool for practicing playful resistance as personal methods of combating oppression.
To do this work focused on computationally supported countercultures and counterspaces, I collaborate with underrepresented and overlooked scholars to shape what the fields of HCI and game design can look like now and change what they could be in the future.
