ERICA PRINCIPE CRUZ

Erica Principe Cruz is a Meta AR/VR Future Technologies Research Fellow, Generation Google Women in Gaming Scholar, and PhD candidate in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. As a member of the Center for Transformational Play, she explores how digital games and immersive experiences can combat oppression by centering marginalized people's pleasure and delight. Using playful qualitative methods and emerging technologies, she seeks to understand and create methods of playful resistance.
