PLAYFUL RESISTANCE RESEARCHER

PhD Student at the Center for Transformational Play and Human-Computer Interaction Institute

at Carnegie Mellon University

I research how digital games and immersive environments can be designed as places that empower marginalized individuals, investigating computer-mediated play as a tool for playful resistance and personal methods of combating oppression. To do this work focused on computationally supported counterspaces, I collaborate with marginalized communities to shape places of play across realities that center their joy, rest, and healing.
